She was in the 6th Cohort and obtained a Master’s degree in Sustainable Development and Social Action from the School of International Training in Vermont in the USA. Upon her return, she started the Community-Based Services Department in the district local Government where she has handled 188 cases of domestic violence, created 158 functional adult literacy classes and formed and registered 413 civil society organizations. She currently works as District Community Development Officer and has reduced the dependence syndrome among women and people with disabilities by lobbing for 20 domestic water harvest tanks and supporting 14 women income generating projects. She has also improved marginalized group’s bargaining power by helping 70 community groups to access community-driven development grants.
